Shopping bespoke is a great all-round experience, and totally different from shopping in a retail store.
We hear the same questions from our potential customers all the time, questions such as:
- Why do I have to wait so long for my product?
- Will bespoke be too expensive?
- But I’m not any good at design, does that matter?
- I’m not sure what choice I have/ what is available?
Let us assure you that having a bespoke product made is not only cost-effective but so much FUN! We can help you with all the design aspects, sending you detailed drawings that you can scribble on and add to until we have the perfect design for you. We also encourage our customers to have Pinterest pages of ideas to work on. This helps to give us a visual of your ideas.
We only offer a bespoke service here at Tucker Joinery, so we don’t have anything ‘off the shelf’. That does mean that when you have something made, it may take longer than if you ordered from a big retail outlet. There are several reasons why; the timber is brought in just for you, the wood is machined to your measurements, and the product is then fitted by our amazingly skilled team of fitters who have a great eye for detail. So, we think it’s well worth the wait!
When it comes to cost, we cater to so many different budgets. No project is too big/small for us, and we can amend quotes to help to cater for any specific budget. We also have many customers who have quotations and carry out the work in phases over time.

Another reason to use a local, family-run company is that we need you! The only reason we have been trading since 1976, is because of our amazing customers. This firm was started by David Tucker, and 7 years ago it was taken over by his son Lee Tucker. Lee’s wife, Emma, has taken over from her mother-in-law in the office and one day, we hope one of our sons will take over from us.
