Built to last
Tucker Joinery’s doors are all handcrafted with the utmost care in our workshop in Hampshire. You can have any kind of panels and mouldings added to your doors. We use traditional mortise and tenon joints and each door is precision engineered for a perfect fit.
Hardwearing and sustainable
Typically, our doors are made from sapele, oak, Accoya® and tulipwood (if painted). Accoya® is a popular choice as it’s highly rot-resistant, stable in various climates and sustainable.
Accoya® is treated with a non-toxic chemical process called acetylation to add strength and durability. This process reduces the wood’s ability to absorb water – making it lower maintenance than many other materials.
Glazed doors are all fitted with toughened safety glass.
Doors for listed buildings
We are very experienced in making doors for listed buildings – often producing like-for-like replacements with very unusual dimensions. The doors can be fitted with double glazing or single glass, subject to listing consent.
Our team regularly works with planning officers on listed properties so we can advise on the practical considerations.
The finishing touches
The little details make all the difference when it comes to doors. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a huge selection of door furniture, including handles, knobs, knockers, latches, door stops and letter plates. These are available in a variety of styles and finishes, such as brass and chrome.
Multi-point locking systems can be fitted to many doors – with the option for lever-operated or slam-shut automatic locks.
Finishing
Doors can be supplied primed, painted in an array of colours or oiled for a natural finish.

We have a choice of handles with a wide range of finishes to choose from, to help complete the finish of your doors. All of these handles are included in your quotation, and we have a wide range to suit all styles of house. The range is long-lasting and made to a high standard, to match the standard of the door.
