Our story
Formed in 1976, Tucker Joinery is a family-run business that produces bespoke windows, doors, kitchens, orangeries and furniture for customers across the south of England.
We combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to make the highest quality products. Each and every item is lovingly created by our expert joiners – many of whom have worked with us for decades.
Generations of craftsmanship
Tucker Joinery was started by Dave Tucker, my Dad, a traditionally trained cabinet maker. After his apprenticeship, he worked as a cabinet maker in Picket Piece before starting the business. We still use many of Dad’s traditional methods in our joinery today.
Although he has since retired, Dad can be seen in the workshop most days. He still loves working with wood to create beautiful, practical items. You’ll also see our young sons, Archie and Ollie, in the workshop from time to time – making their own little wooden creations. Tucker Joinery is very much a family concern.
Continuing the family tradition
Following in my Dad’s footsteps, I trained as a cabinet maker in Andover and Salisbury before joining the family firm in 1993 to learn every aspect of the job.
I may be running the company now but I’m still heavily involved in every part of the process. Then, I go home and make more things in my workshop in the garden. I really do live and breathe joinery!
40+ years of bespoke joinery and furniture
Over the years, our joinery business has gone from strength to strength. We now have a team of 16, working with private customers, builders, carpenters, developers and interior designers. Customers return to us time and again for help with their joinery and furniture projects.
Today, we still live by the same traditional values that have been important to us from the start – exceptional craftsmanship, great customer service and honest prices.
