With our recent extension and the completion of our Tucker Timber workshop, we felt it was time for a new look online. So, we approached blue bee, a local design agency, to craft us a new website.
As a family-run timber business founded in 1976, we pride ourselves on generations of bespoke handiwork. We asked for a website to reflect our significant heritage and personal approach and we couldn’t be happier.
A Personal Touch
We had little creative involvement with our first website — something we wanted to do differently this time around. So, we worked closely with blue bee throughout the process. They have given us a look that is as friendly as our team whilst showcasing our knowledge and professionalism.
We didn’t want to forget our roots. So, blue bee pulled the leaf from our brand logo into page banners and calls to action at the bottom of each page. The earthy colour scheme of warm browns, oranges, and deep greens, comes from our branding, as well.
There are some new additions too. Illustrations now represent our unique selling points too; these pair wonderfully with the underscoring of our service headings, and wood shavings framing the background. The new choice of typeface is also homey without sacrificing maturity.
Tidier by design
At Tucker Joinery, we offer a range of bespoke services – from staircases to spice racks! So, it has been a challenge to lay out everything we do. That said, blue bee has re-organised our website to something clear and easily navigable.
Our products and services have changed with the addition of our popular roof lanterns. There is also an expanded section for our popular Kitchens. These services are now selectable from a collage of product cards with vivid hover states. They have provided us with an expanded testimonials section on the homepage too. Now we can emphasise your personal messages and experiences with us.

We always encourage people to come to visit our workshop, to see, touch, and smell what we’re working on. But now you can see for yourselves the versatility of our workshop team through new photos.
A Brand-New Cutting Form
It is important for us to be able to answer as many enquiries as possible. More so now with the expansion into Tucker Timber!
Considering how personal projects are to the people who approach us, it isn’t always easy to calculate what is needed ahead of time. Though we offer surveys throughout a project, we want to streamline the process for us and you!
We asked blue bee for a form that would make it easier – for hobbyists, tradesmen, and architects- to order the materials and timber they need. We can calculate the cost and get back with a quote quickly. There are options to select as many materials or timber as you need, along with measurements and personal details.
The team at blue bee have also given us ample opportunity to expand upon this form should the need arise. We see moulding and kitchen cabinet door forms on the horizon. And we are more than excited for the future!
